We are part of the body of Christ, and we each have a specific role to play. If you've become a little COVID-lazy, or if you've never been one to get involved in the life of the church, it's time to dive in. Men play a critical role not only in the leadership of their families, but also in the life of their church. We have to get involved. Fear, Shame, and Guilt...Revisited!
In this episode, Dave and Dante hit the topic of fear, shame, and guilt. It's not the first time the Legacy Dads have talked about these three emotions. And it probably won't be the last. When so much damage happens because of actions and behaviors rooted in these emotions, it's important for all of us to continually strive to recognize and react in a way that helps us to lead our families and lives in a manner that ultimately glorifies God. Separation of Church and State...or not?
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." That's what it says. It doesn't say "separation of church and state." It doesn't say that anywhere in the Constitution of the United States of America. So as a Legacy Dad, how do we correct those who use the common phrase to attack faith? How do we inform them that the founding fathers actually based a lot of foundation of the country on having a proper vertical relationship with God Almighty? Listen in as Dave and Dante discuss the topic in light of everything we are seeing happening in today's daily news cycle.
Independence Day 2022
In this episode, Dave and Dante talk about the Monument to the Forefathers, found in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This monument is a testament to what the forefathers and pilgrims thought was fundamental to the founding of a nation: faith, liberty, morality, law, and education. If you ever get a chance, go visit the monument, and relish in the fact that the founders of our wonderful nation put faith at the top of the monument. God bless the United States of America.
