Never Forget, Never
Here SHE is! As you scroll down, notice the two twin towers on top.
Here SHE is, the USS New York, made from the World Trade Center !
USS New York It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World
Trade Center. It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for
missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a
crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore
by helicopters and assault craft. Steel from the World Trade Center was
melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship's bow section.
When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003, 'those big rough
steelworkers treated it with total reverence,'recalled Navy Capt. Kevin
Wensing, who was there. 'It was a spiritual moment for everybody there.'
Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade
center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the 'hair on my
neck stood up.' 'It had a big meaning to it for all of us,' he said. 'They
knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back.'
The ship's motto? 'Never Forget'
------------------------------------------------------------
I just want to take the time to recognize all those who have served for Country and for Freedom. As Christians we can reflect on this daily and undertand what loss and then what victory means to be a CHRISTian. Jesus told the Pharisees that they could knock down this temple and it would be rebuilt in three days. What the Pharisees did not know was that Jesus was talking about himself. They tried to destroy the Temple, our most holiest priest and it wasn't just the Pharisees or the Roman Soldiers who did this, it was ALL OF US and our sin that he allowed himself to be put to death in order to pay the ultimate price - For Our Salvation. He paid the ultimate price and did what he said he would do, rebuild this temple and our Savior Lives and He is our Redeemer.
I know where I was on that fateful morning of September 11, 2001 when the TwinTowers were struck in a violent and terrorist act of cowardice. I will remember and I will never forget that fateful day, nor will I forget what our Lord, Jesus Christ did for all of us who call Him by name- Our Savior.
God Bless All of You and Keep all of you. May the Lord Bless thee and keep thee and make His face shine upon thee.
Send A Play Pump To Africa

A while back I heard about this great idea called the "Play Pump."
- More than one billion people worldwide do not have access to clean water.
- Water-relateddiseases are the leading cause of death in the world, taking the livesof 6,000 people a day, and are responsible for 80 percent of allsickness in the world
- 40 billion hours are lost annually to hauling water, a chore primarily undertaken by women and girls.
A life-changing and life-saving invention– the PlayPump® water system -- can provide easy access to cleandrinking water, bring joy to children, and lead to improvementsin health, education, gender equality, and economic development.
ThePlayPump systems are innovative, sustainable, patented water pumpspowered by children at play. Installed near schools, the PlayPumpsystem doubles as a water pump and a merry-go-round for children.
The PlayPump system also provides one of the only ways toreach rural and peri-urban communities with potentially life savingpublic health messages.
So here is my challenge to Legacy Dad.
It costs $14,000 to send one full play pump to Africa and supply a village and children with water.
I am asking anyone who wants to help donate to this cause to please click on the donation button and give whatever you can to this cause.
My goal is to fully fund a Play Pump no matter how long it takes and then hopefully get some pictures of our Play Pump we purchased and the kids and families that will use it.
If we are truly men of action, here is our chance to prove it.

We Needed Real Men
Eight years ago today, America was attacked for the first time since Pearl Harbor. I remember waking up at 6:30 AM to the radio station on the West Coast just as the second plane was striking the towers. That day was filled with grief, disbelief and Heroes.
For most of the 90's, men were told to suppress there neanderthal ways, be sensitive and dress "metro."
But on that day we needed leadership, courage and people to run towards danger while others were running away. Men charged into the towers and Pentagon to save victims knowing that they could die. Men decided to stand up and take back control of a hijacked aircraft. I decided to leave my six figure job and once again serve a purpose higher than myself.
Many people want to forget that day, they suppress the memories and the images. They blame the government, the president and others for what happened rather than pointing the finger at the true culprits.
But I think we need to remember. Remember the victims, remember how it felt, remember who is responsible and remember that on that day there were real men that answered the call of duty.
Fathers, Brothers, Sons and Friends. Heroes.
Please take a few moments out of your day today and watch this video. Remember how it felt, remember why it happened and remember why our role as fathers has the power to stop evil or create it.

Is This Your Church?
Many churches try new approaches to finding and attracting new members, some however simply come off as phony or intrusive.
In this video parable, the Beyond Relevance blog shares how churches subtly construct barriers to making new attendees feel welcome. Enjoy and learn.
