Dave and Dante are back together to discuss what it means to be a man of God as opposed to being a man of the world. Kind of like the fork in the road…which way do you go? Listen in as they discuss some of the aspects of an article written in 2014 (and updated in 2018) to highlight what a Legacy Dad should be focused on today.
Man in Crisis Part 2 - Hope on the Other Side
In this second part of this two-part series, Dave, Dante, BJ, and Bryan discuss the rest of the phases of crisis and how Christian men and Legacy Dads can walk through it to get to a positive outcome. Man in Crisis - Part 1

"Treading Boldly" with Daniel Weiss and Joshua Glaser
In this episode, Dave and Dante interview Joshua Glaser and Daniel Weiss, authors of the book Treading Boldly through a Pornographic World: A Field Guide for Parents. In their book, they provide parents with the tools they need to navigate a hyper-sexualized culture. As leaders of Christ-centered ministries aimed at helping families live in God’s beautiful design for sexuality, Josh and Daniel are passionate about helping parents raise healthy kids — both relationally and emotionally. In Treading Boldly through a Pornographic World, Josh and Daniel are the experts parents need to help their kids navigate a digital world full of landmines.

End of an era...God still can!
What happens when we allow God to use his chisel on us? In this episode, Dave and Dante discuss how God uses us in the phases of our life - whether they are positive or negative - and will always turn them into something better...especially when we say "yes" to God. Dante is closing up his tenure as an Elder at his church and discusses some of the lessons-learned, and Dave talks about the importance of not just "going through the motions" at church. Highlighting a book by R.C. Sproul, the guys talk about five spiritual disciplines, and not shying away from being the "Jesus freak" when it comes the the spiritual discipline you enjoy the most. Bottom line...wait until you see what God is able to do after you say yes!

Memorial Day 2021
Greetings Legacy Dads! In this episode, we take the opportunity to discuss the importance of Memorial Day, and relate how to tie it into solid biblical principles. Here in the United States, it is an important holiday for us, as we look to show honor and respect to those men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we can continue to live in freedom today. As Christians, we also believe that Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in freedom from sin - he took the punishment that we deserve!
This holiday presents a wonderful opportunity for men, fathers, and husbands to discuss the sacrifice that Jesus paid for us. The day also provides us the chance to do continue the legacy started by General John A. Logan. In 1868, he issued General Order Number 11 designating May 30 as a memorial day “for the purpose of strewing with flowers or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village, and hamlet churchyard in the land.”
I encourage you to take some time to decorate the graves of veterans if you have the opportunity. If the chance has passed, I encourage you to look for ways to support the families of service members who have died in service to our country. If you are looking for some places you could donate to, consider these organizations:

Thank you for continuing to listen and encourage us in this ministry! -Dave
