Inverview with "Dude Dad," Taylor Calmus

In this week's episode, we sit down with the man behind the "Dude Dad" platforms, Taylor Calmus. He's got a new book out all around helping new Dads learn how to get ready for the new baby that will be in their life. Numerous apps and books exist to help expectant parents understand their baby’s development by comparing their unborn child to a raspberry or a stalk of broccoli, but Taylor Calmus takes issue with that. First off, your baby is not some wimpy little vegetable. Your baby is a hardcore little lug nut who is straight-up growing organs on a weekly basis. Second, how big is a stalk of broccoli? And what the heck is a kumquat? Clearly this situation calls for a better approach. Enter . . . "A Dude’s Guide to Baby Size: What to Expect and How to Prep for Dads-to-Be." Calmus’ new book is full of fun facts about the growing baby, advice on how to help Mom-to-be, as well as ideas and encouragement for fathers on their journey from Dude to Dude Dad.

Seek, Set, Forward, Vertical - Part 2

We continue the conversation about how we can take Romans 12:1-2 and Colossians 3:1-17 to our lives with practical application steps. Whether it is working through forgiveness or working to ensure your marriage is worth fighting for, these verses and scripture are sure to help you seek first, set your mind, move forward in life, and look vertically to God the Father.

Seek, Set, Forward, Vertical - Part 1

In this episode, Dave and Dante go back to scripture and talk about how to apply it to our lives as men, husbands, and fathers. Romans 12:1-2 and Colossians 3:1-17 are an excellent foundation to figure out what to seek, where to set, how to move forward, and how to get vertical with God. Four steps towards changing the legacy!

501C3 Donations to Safari, and Podcasts (Father and Son Conversation Parts 1 and 2)

We are currently accepting donations to help start a Mission Center in the Democratic Republic of Congo under the direction of Pastor Baty “Safari” Mutabesha and his family. God has placed a vision on Pastor Safari’s heart to return to his war torn home and begin sharing the Gospel and starting peace reconciliation between warring factions as well as providing Christ centered discipleship for all those in need.

Greetings Legacy Dads! We are pushing out both recent podcasts in this week’s email update. Dante sat down with his oldest son Trey to discuss what it’s like growing up the son of a Legacy Dad. The conversation was wide-ranging and inclusive of a lot of topics, but one thing is clear: the foundation that was set over the past 18 years has provided Trey the opportunity to capitalize on his spiritual gifts and step into his next stage of life with the full armor of God. Hope you enjoy the conversation!

The Root of it All: Bitterness and Forgiveness

In this episode, Dave and Dante talk about one of the problems that affects all of us: bitterness. Whether it stems from someone hurting you, or even struggling with bitterness towards God, this is something that will eat at you from the inside-out and affect everything and everyone around you. Listen in for how to deal with it in a biblical fashion...here's a hint: if you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and confessed your broken and sinful nature to Him, you've received it. Time to pass it on!
